Osteoporsis Screening
Osteoporosis is
one of the largest health challenges in our country.
It is the leading cause of hospital bed utilization,
and according to the National Osteoporosis
Foundation, the problem could multiply by nearly 280%
over the next forty years. Paramed Services, Inc.
conducts osteoporosis screening using ultrasound
measurements of the heel bone. This is a non-invasive
and simple test that takes less than 5 minutes to
complete. We have done thousands of these tests and
referred those at risk to their physician for
follow-up. The risk of osteoporosis fractures can be
reduced if a physician supervised program is followed
by those at risk. This simple screening procedure can
be performed on-site in companies, churches or any
other location. Results are provided immediately
along with counseling by a specially trained
registered nurse on the best course of action after
the test.
Respirator Fit Testing
OSHA
regulation 1910.134 mandates that all employees that
are required to wear a respirator, have an annual
medical evaluation and be fit-tested for each mask
they wear. Paramed Services, Inc. can help you comply
with this regulation. Our medical personnel will come
to your location and perform all required tests
on-site. We then provide you with documentation for
your files and will automatically notify you when
